The Workshop

Say hello to our workshop.

If we had to define our relationship, we’d say: it’s complicated.

On one hand, the battle against accumulation is relentless.

Old sets, forgotten props, misplaced tools, costumes left mid–quick change. Dust.

The dream would be to clear it out after every show, but between time and cost – have you ever rented a dumpster?! – it realistically happens only twice a year.

On the other hand —this space is very valuable.

We get to build our sets right here, just above where they’ll live on stage.

It’s incredibly convenient, and honestly a bit special.

When people come up for the first time, they’re always surprised.

The Ring feels much bigger from up here.

(And through that door at the back there’s also a third-floor attic full of costumes, props, and set pieces.)

Thirty-five years of worlds have been fabricated here.

From my Ring-shaped heart,

Margherita
