G. Matthew Gaskell’s GREATEST HITS

An Evening of Short Plays
Aug 21 – Aug 22, 2026

Written by G. Matthew Gaskell. Directed by G. Matthew Gaskell.

For three performances only, celebrate the wit, the wordsmith and the bizarre, hilarious, imaginative world of G. Matthew Gaskell with an evening of his greatest short-play hits.

A longtime Players’ Ring favorite, Gaskell has written, directed, premiered, and performed in dozens of original works, including the beloved Sharp Dressed Men series and last season’s audience favorite Ye Merry Gentlemen. (This fall, he also returns to open our MainStage with As Time Goes By.)

Now, before the new season begins, join us for a fast-paced, 75-minute journey through some of his funniest creations. From aliens to bomb shelters and a gangster rendez-vous, these bite-sized comedies showcase the humor, heart, and unmistakable voice that have made Gaskell one of the Ring’s most cherished playwrights.

Performed by a talented cast of eight, this evening promises the kind of fun that leaves you shake your head in amused disbelief and with laughter tears in your eyes.
