Every year, a typical Players' Ring Season includes an average of eight to ten MainStage productions.

Each production generally usually runs for a total of twelve performances over a period of three weekends and is included in the subscription packages.

Some of these shows are produced by the Players' Ring while others are produced by external production companies or individuals in partnership with the Ring. The optimum production model will be decided after your proposal is received and discussed with you.

In addition, the Ring's Season features special programs such as holiday shows, cabaret nights, film screenings and staged readings of plays involved in the Ring–Works program.

How does the Ring Toss submission and selection process work?

  • The Ring is keen to present high–quality works, both original and published.

  • Selection criteria are production value and message, producibility within the Ring's space, and alignment with the Ring's vision and objectives.

  • We welcome submissions all-year-round. Reach out to and we will direct you to the Google Form to upload your proposal.

  • The deadline to be considered for the upcoming Season is mid-January.

  • After submitting, you will be invited to the "Ring-Toss", an in-person event scheduled around the end of January where all presenters have three minutes to pitch their ideas in front of fellow theatre makers, the Programming Team (Artistic Director, Executive Director, Head of Production and Advisors - who change every year). A Zoom or video pitch might also be possible;

  • Between February and the end of April, the Programming Team reads and evaluates the proposals. You might be contacted with questions.

  • By mid May, you will be informed about the status of your submission.

  • If your work is shortlisted, the staff will be in touch for a discussion about availability, production models, expectations and logistics.

We look forward to getting to know you and your work!
