One on One

I feel that no matter how much time and content I pour into our website, social media posts, press releases — or even these little letters I love to send you! — the best way to be known, really known, is to invite people through the Green Door and talk.

Especially as the organization I want to talk about has been—and still is—evolving.

The community needs time to notice that. To acknowledge it. To embrace it.

I thrive in this one-on-one (or one-to-few) exchanges.

But it’s relentless.

Sometimes it even feels like a drop in the ocean (how many people out there still have yet to discover our theatre?!).

So I’m especially grateful for moments like this: welcoming the fellows of Leadership Seacoast during their annual Arts & Culture Scavenger Hunt Day.

(Wow. And they say Italians speak with their hands, uh?)

Growth is not only speed and scale, like branches stretching outward.

Sometimes it’s inward and downward, like roots deepening connection.

They feed you and hold you steady.

From my Ring-shaped heart,

Margherita
