Going to a show

A big part of my job is — should be! — to see theatre outside of the Ring.

The reasons are plenty and intuitive.

You expand your knowledge of plays.

You notice different approaches to the work — onstage and behind the scenes.

You discover new talent.

You remember that theatre is, before your job, your passion.

(It’s so much easier to relax when you’re not the producer!)

Sometimes you see something and think: this could work really well.

While we are proud of producing our own work, there are moments when welcoming an existing show makes sense.

So many resources have already gone into it — and if the fit is right, why not extend its ephemeral life?

A that’s exactly what happened with this beautiful show by the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine.

We welcome their production of The Little Prince to our stage in just a few days.

From my Ring-shaped heart,

Margherita
