The Players' Ring

Play Readings at The Ring

Generic Theater (GT) announces their Play Reading series at The Players’ Ring. GT, celebrating its 30th anniversary of presenting theater in Portsmouth, has been reading plays for the public for many years, starting at the old Stroudwater Bookstore, then the Kittery Rice Library and the Portsmouth Public Library.

This year, we are pleased to move the series to The Players’ Ring. GT will be reading new plays submitted to The Players’ Ring by local playwrights, as well as plays that strike our fancy. One of the main goals for GT is to find a play to produce for the next season. The goal of the Players’ Ring Artistic Committee is to give the local playwrights a forum to hear their plays and get feedback from the audience and actors.

Play readings are at 7:30 PM.

All readings are free – donations to defray costs of copying scripts, etc. welcome
