The Players' Ring Annual Producers' Meeting
The Players’ Ring Annual Producers’ Meeting will be held on Monday, February 20 at 7 pm at the Ring. At this meeting production companies and playwrights are asked to “pitch” their proposals for the 2012- 2013 Season as well as the Late Night Summer Series. The audience will be the Players’ Ring Board of Directors, the Ring’s Artistic Committee as well as those making submissions. Interested parties and the general public are also invited to attend in order to observe the process and to network with the proposing groups after the meeting.
The Season begins in September 2012 and runs through June 2013. The Late Night Summer Series begins in late June and runs through August. The regular season features full length works while the Late Night Series is more appropriate for experimental works, shorter plays and one acts. Other kinds of presentations may be considered for the Late Night as well.
Those interested in making a proposal should arrive early enough to fill out forms and submit three (3) copies of the script. Those who have made early submissions do not have to make a presentation, but a personal pitch is encouraged. Although scripts can be submitted electronically, we still require “hard copies”.
