AUDITIONS for Best Enemies, a new comedy by award-winning playwright/novelist Michael Kimball (Ghosts of Ocean House), will be held at The Players' Ring, Saturday, August 12, 9:00 - 12:00. Cold readings from script and/or bring a prepared piece.

The Players Ring Theater, of Portsmouth, NH, with Opossum Productions, announces open auditions for Lexington Green, by local author Stephen Erickson, due to run at the Player’s Ring from April 13, 2007 through April 29, 2007. Auditions are called early with a view to assembling a cast available for weekday performances to school groups, as well as the customary evening performances, Fridays through Sundays. Male actors between the ages of 16 and 65 are especially encouraged to audition, as well as female actors ages 7 to 9, 16-26, and 50 to 65.

Lexington Green is twenty four hours in a village caught in the path of war and revolution. As afternoon turns to night, rumors swirl, political debate rages, lovers rendezvous, generations clash, and military scouts, messengers and patrols play cat and mouse. Paul Revere rides into to town with the news. The Regulars are out. The alarm bell sounds. In Lexington Green, a play full of drama, real history and not a little buffoonery, a small community must decide why and how to make a stand.

Auditions will take place at The Player’s Ring Theatre, 105 Marcy Street, Portsmouth, NH, on Saturday, August 20^th, from 12 noon to 3pm. All auditions will consist of group readings from the script.
