WIT Presents
What My Daughter Wants
by Scarlett Ridgway Savage
What My Daughter Wants is a hilarious poignant look at a woman's life. The play begins when she is 16 and shows scenes of her life at 46 and at 76. Scarlett Ridgway Savage has crafted a piece that will remind you of yourself, or a woman in your life as we face real issues and hard choices. You will laugh, cry and wonder what you would do....
Actors, Kate Kirkwood, Larry Vigus, and Christy Cloutier Holmes will recreate the roles they portrayed in January. The previous production received the following comments from reviewers:"Kirkwood's teenager was a stitch: dancing, singing and negotiating familiar teenage terrain, instructing those around her in the fine art of tight sweater wearing, boy-getting and dad-cajoling. Vigus was at his best as the blind date and his interactions with Holmes as an interrogatory teenage daughter were quite funny, with well-written dialog and great timing" says Rick Agran from the WIRE
"The performances of What My Daughter Wants are extraordinarily energetic Kirkwood is positively buoyant, Vigus is a solid and grounding presence, and Holmes is particularly funny as the Woman's exasperated and exasperating teenage daughter" remarks Megan Grumbling from the Portland Phoenix
Kirkwood...gives you the whole woman- child through twilight - in an honest, clear performance.... Holmes,...is charming and captivating as Kirkwood's long time friend, swinging deftly from moments of dry humor to true concern....Vigus is dynamite as the man-come-courting. He brings charm to the oddly unsure, yet secure, direct, geek...this well crafted play, with its deft team, will warm your heart" adds Jeanne McCartin from the Portsmouth Herald.Don't miss the opportunity to see this unusual play. July 15,16 and 17 at the Players' Ring.
