Oscar Wilde's witty, agreeably silly, perfectly constructed play has been a stage favorite since it was first produced in 1895. It's the very model of an English drawing-room comedy: a tale of romantic confusion and misdirection involving two young Englishmen, the female objects of their attention, an interfering aunt, a distracted clergyman, and a governess who scarcely knows who she is, much  less where her loyalties lie. All ends happily, after a fashion (whether the play's characters know it or not)
