In the year two thousand, the seacoast is terrorized by a serial rapist and murderer called "The Seacoast Slasher."

Detective Tim Morgan arrests James Drake (an expert on every serial killer from Jack the Ripper to The Hillside Strangler). But Drake, acting as his own attorney, with his expertise of serial killers, talks the jury down to a deadlock and goes free.

Six years later, Drake is back in town and Morgan is convinced he is back to his old game; yet they resentfully join forces to find the real monster and its prey in the latest missing person case.

And then, the real game begins . . .
